Jacklin Design Lands 2 Moroccan Course Projects

(MARRAKESH, MOROCCO) -- Famed golfer Tony Jacklin will be designing two new golf courses in Morocco under his Jacklin Design Group banner. One of these projects, called the Bouskoura Golf City Resort, is located just 20 minutes from downtown Casablanca. The setting is a spectacular 220 hectare tract of land nestled in the picturesque Bouskoura Forest. The second course will be in Marrakesh.

The resort, close to the Casablanca Mohamed V International Airport, is being developed under the Prestigia luxury real estate brand which is operated by Addoha Group, Morocco's leading real estate conglomerate.

Besides a world-class, 18-hole Tony Jacklin Signature design course and golf academy, the resort of Bouskoura Golf City will offer different types of resort homes including unique stand alone villas with direct access to the golf course and stunning views of the forest, featuring their own private swimming pool and upscale apartments blending original architecture and modern comfort, as well as integrated amenities like commercial and leisure activities, educational activities, a first class hotel and spa and more.

The golf course will be designed by Tony Jacklin in association with Martin & Stirling (golf course architects), and will be built on 65 hectares and will be a 6,423-meter long, par-72 course. The front nine is scheduled to open next summer and construction for the back nine is planned to start in late 2011 with a ready opening sometime in 2013.
