Singer and part-time actress Jessica Simpson has finally sold her gated home in the famous 90210 neighborhood for $6.4 million after dropping the price twice in five months.
The Beverly Hills house first hit the market in May with a $7.995 million price tag before the star of "Blonde Ambition" dropped it to $7.295 million in August. Last month, she slashed the price again, this time to $6.495 million.
The final selling price is still higher than what she paid. Ms. Simpson purchased the home in 2005 after her divorce from Nick Lachey, for $5,275,052, according to Redfin.
Custom-built in 1991, the Kerry Joyce-designed home is "evocative of the Hamptons," and features designs and renovations by Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic Couture, according to the listing.
The five-bedroom, six-bath house includes a master suite with French doors and views of the grounds, an office/library, media room, gym and chef's kitchen. Outside, the home features park-like grounds, a pool and stone courtyard leading to a koi pond.
Previous owners of the house include Ellen DeGeneres, a real estate fanatic herself. The identity of the new owner has not been released.
